We'd like to thank you for your interest into the Tumon Bay Youth Orchestra! Youth Orchestra Auditions Extended until September 7, 2018. Who can participate? The youth of Guam age 25 and below with at least 3 years experience on their instrument. Members will be selected through a video audition process. Membership is open to students enrolled in both public and private schools, including those who are home schooled. Auditions will be accepted for: flute/piccolo clarinet oboe bassoon trumpet French horn trombone tuba percussion violin viola cello string bass Video Audition Process 1. Visit http://www.guamphilharmonic.org and download the audition material for your specific instrument. CLICK HERE FOR ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS 2. Make a video recording of yourself playing the selected repertoire for your instrument, in one take. Make sure to introduce yourself in your video with your full name, how many years you have been studying and what school (if applicable) you currently attend. It is important that your recording is of the highest video and audio quality possible. 3. Upload your video via YouTube or Google Drive. We highly suggest you set the video to “private” so only those who have the link can view your video. 4. Fill out the online application form by CLICKING HERE no later than 11:59pm on September 7, 2018 (Chamorro standard time GMT +10) Don’t forget to include the link to your video in your application. What’s next? Reviews of all submissions will begin on September 7 and notification of membership selection will be announced no later than September 15 via our website at guamphilharmonic.org Selected members will be sent an email with the instructions for the next step in finalizing their membership into this new and exciting ensemble. A meeting will be held with parents and members to meet and receive their sheet music at the first rehearsal currently scheduled for September 15, 2018. Location: TBA.
