​The "Rong" Notes are a student-organized jazz band which originated from the Harvest Christian Academy chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Initially founded by Shangrong Jiang, the group had its beginnings in performing Dave Brubeck's Take Five for a Tri-M recital. With some changes to the roster and a gig under its belt, the group now consists of trumpeter and trombonist Shangrong Jiang, bassist Xander Castro, drummer Felix Horne, and pianist Kangsan Yoon.
