Kelly Schlarb
Miss Kelly Schlarb is the director of the Harvest Christian Academy Orchestra Program. Although originally from Indiana, she has called Guam home for over 20 years. At HCA, Miss Schlarb enjoys teaching strings, piano, and general music classes to students ranging from elementary through high school. She also performs as a violinist in the Guam Symphony Orchestra and serves as a piano accompanist for many students. Miss Schlarb is active as a pianist and violinist in the music ministry of Harvest Baptist Church.
Miss Schlarb received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. In addition, she has participated in summer string pedagogy workshops at The Ohio State University with Bob Gillespie and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with Mimi Zweig.
Many of Miss Schlarb’s students contribute to Guam’s community musical ensembles, including the Guam Symphony, the Tumon Bay Youth Orchestra, and the Guam Territorial Band.
