Elizabeth Mamczarz, violin, concertmaster
Elizabeth Mamczarz is a senior and National Merit Semifinalist at Harvest Christian Academy. She has been a member of TBYO since its inception. Previously, she served as a youth representative on TBYO’s steering committee, but relinquished the role when she became concertmaster. Representing TBYO, Elizabeth has played in multiple quartets and weddings. She also played in the Beauty and the Beast pit orchestra and was named its orchestra manager. Elizabeth has won multiple solo violin competitions, most recently placing 1st in the senior division of the Guam Young Artist Competition. Her proudest moment with her instrument was her solo performance at Carnegie Hall in December of 2021, when she was only 15. This summer and early fall, she served as a string instructor for TBYO Jr., a program that developed a few of the students that will be performing solos today. She is appreciative of all the opportunities Guam Philharmonic has provided to strengthen her musical background.
